This is a kit of R.A. motor module and STAR BOOK ONE controller applied for the AP series of equatorial mounts. It is the core module of the various components of the AP system which can be easily rearranged or upgraded for your specific need.

Vixen Telescope R.A Motor Module and STAR BOOK ONE Set Description

The R.A motor module runs on electricity only. The incorporated bearings produce smooth and stable movements.

The R.A. motor module has a USB micro-B plug and it works on a commercially available USB external power supply battery. An external battery of 0.5 amperes in conformity with DCP specifications is required. When it is used in combination with an AP declination body unit, it is usable with 4×AA batteries also.
Versatile tracking options are available in addition to the sidereal tracking rate.

The four direction buttons on the STAR BOOK ONE dual-axis controller move the R.A motor electrically in X and Y (R.A and Dec) directions either quickly or slowly. It can be used for auto-guiding in conjunction with an external auto guider. STAR BOOK ONE recognizes the Vixen Mount to which it is attached. Only functions or commands that are applicable to that mount will be displayed on the screen.
