The shutter cable was developed for recording time-lapse images with the POLARIE U Star Tracker and a digital camera.
In combination with smartphone software (APP) especially developed for the POLARIE U, recording control can be set up via SMS* and easily operated via your smartphone.
*SMS = (engl. shoot-move-shoot = expose - move - expose).
Stops the tracking of the mount during a time-lapse shot, and only tracks the camera between exposures for sharper images.
